World Black Belt and the Art of Cart World Black Belt & Paul Mitchel Sponsored Team
This special 3-day event at the historic Queen Mary in Long Beach brought together celebrities, corporate elites and spectators as they were racing to the checkered flag for the first 2005 Red Bull California Cart Trophy. Having been successfully staged in Austria for the last four years, ART OF CART has now come to America!
World Black Belt and Paul Mitchell Products sponsored a team comprised of WBB Vice Chairman and owner of Paul Mitchell Products, John Paul DeJoria and WBB President and CEO Bob Wall, as well as several other friends and family.
With Thursday reserved for training and qualifying, the tension rose on Friday when all the teams with a total of 113 drivers fought for the victory in one huge 4 hour race! The experienced Red Bull Team along extreme sportsman Felix Baumgartner won the race.
For most of the drivers in the World Black Belt/Paul Mitchell Products Team, it was their very first time sitting in a Go Kart at all. Along with the exclusive race festivities aboard the Queen Mary such as the drivers night, the winners party and the pre party at Arnold Schwarzeneggers restaurant Schatzis on Wednesday, this 3 day event was a wonderful experience for all the participants.
Be prepared for Art of Cart 2006!
