Mississauga Native Coming Home to Argonauts
After four seasons as a starting defensive lineman with the NCAA Division 1A Eastern Michigan Eagles, DL Matt Kudu is ready to return home to Toronto.
Remarked Kudu on his homecoming, “Words can’t explain how excited I am to play for the Argos. It’s the first time as a professional that I’ve been able to play in the place where I grew up. Toronto is a first class organization and it’s where guys want to be in the CFL. During a winter break I came home and spoke to Grand Master Chuck about training and my football career and he gave me some bottles of “World Black Belt - Knock Out Recovery Water and Kickbars”, explained to me that it would help my training. I drunk 1 bottle of the water everyday and could not believe how much it reduced my post workout soreness and made me feel more energized. The kickbars are great tasting and also gave me they extra energy before workouts to do the hard training 6 days a week to stay and optimal condition and be prepared for the long CFL season.”
Born in Toronto and raised in Mississauga, Kudu was a four-year starter at Eastern Michigan University. He was recruited out of Lorne Park High School and started seven games as a freshman. He was named the school’s Top-Conditioned Athlete at Eastern Michigan as a senior when he recorded a personal best 42 tackles. Kudu holds a Bachelor of Physical Education and is currently completing his teaching certificate - which he will finish at the end of this month.
The Argonauts also signed free agent receiver J. Alonzo Riddle out of Syracuse University.
